Job Description
A unique opportunity to be a part of the growing Winning Work team, effectively supporting the development of strategic proposals in line with Aurecon’s strategic objectives. This role focuses on managing documentation for proposal documents, integrating content from multiple disciplines, including for large, complex proposals. This demanding yet rewarding role involves liaising across all levels of the organization, working with regional technical leaders in developing quality and compelling proposals.
- Support Portfolio Leaders and senior bid consultants in providing Winning Work services within allocated portfolios
- Championing the Aurecon Methodology from proposal planning until submission. This includes creating response templates, formatting, collating and proofreading proposals and related collaterals
- Researching, gathering, updating, editing and consolidating non-technical information such as corporate information, CVs, project sheets, capability statements, boilerplates and other standard proposal related collaterals
- Ensuring documents are well-structured, organized and well written (grammar and spelling)
- Ensuring that the layout, packaging and formatting comply with Aurecon brand guidelines
- Developing basic graphics or liaising with the visual design team to ensure that proposals are compelling and well-presented
- Performing data and information assessments to identify trends in successful proposals/tenders/bids and projects
- Supporting the bid team in pursuit activities, as necessary
- Ensuring sound relationships with all stakeholders
- Actively participating and/or leading continual improvement initiatives related to Winning Work
- Providing ad hoc services including trends and competitor research, etc.

I'm a graduate engineer so it is expected that my project involvement will be limited for the first few months and most of my time will used on skill development and that's exactly how it is for me now. I like how my seniors allow me to be included on the project they are currently working on and guide me throughout. The only difficulty is that due to limited project involvement, I'm mostly left with nothing to do but to self-study what I want which I'm also unsure of because of the uncertainty of what project I might work on in the future.
I get just about the right amount of workload in project deliverables, and when I am free, I have a wide range of learning courses I can dig into to upskill.
Currently, I'm still under training and do help in minor tasks related to projects from time to time.

The pay isn't quite high enough to fully meet my financial needs. This is a common challenge for those early in their careers.
Currently, training tends to be more focused on specific teams, which can sometimes lead to uncertainty about the overall plan and expectations.
The overall recruitment/hiring process took a longer time than expected.
Currently, our office design is somewhat outdated, and there isn't adequate space to properly display blueprints.
There has been a lack of projects wherein fresh graduates like me can be utilized, and so the opportunities for experience are a bit lacking.
