The Role 

As a Processor, you will provide secretarial services to the Treasury Operations Head and function as administrative assistant of the division.

Responsibilities

  • Handles telephone calls and emails and relays messages to the person concerned
  • Keeps track of appointments of the Division Head, updates/remind her on her appointments, meetings, conferences, and other Bank functions
  • Performs word processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet tasks for the Division Head
  • Ensures the confidentiality of records, reports, and information prepared and maintained
  • Follows up on pending matters and status of assignments with concerned persons and units as instructed
  • Prepares the disbursement of meal allowance for overtime of TROPS R&F
  • Monitors & request the stationery and supplies requirements of the Division
  • Assists officers in the preparation of reports, presentations, and training materials
  • Responsible for consolidating Item Count for productivity metrics purposes
  • Receives, sorts, and forwards correspondence & SWIFT receiving copies to TROPS personnel
  • Assists in updating the Treasury Operations Manual
  • Assists in the production unit in cases of absences/leaves
  • Handles the preparation of petty cash funds for the Division

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy / Accounting Technology / Management Accounting
  • Organized, keen on details, able to handle huge amounts of information
  • Must have good communication and presentation skills
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills

Pros

  • The best thing is how Security Bank cares for its employees' work-life balance. They are the only local bank to offer hybrid arrangements to head office employees.

  • Unlike other banks, Security Bank really makes me feel that I matter. Here, leaders are very approachable and visible.

  • I feel very rewarded and recognized. Personally, I've already been promoted 3x.

  • My managers are great mentors. They regularly hold alignments to make sure we are on track with projects.

  • We have a lot of online and face-to-face learning opportunities not only for technical skills but also soft skills.

Cons

    • Some leaders are still too traditional.

    • The company should focus on their salary pay. For me, it's very low.

    • It's slow and really not discussed often - something to improve to keep people happy.

    • Complex processes can be simplified. Benefits can be improved.

    • There is nothing too negative! If I had to answer, it would be that SBC is only present locally.
