The Role

We are looking for fresh graduates and career shifters who want to establish their careers in the highly in-demand field of cloud computing. Our Cloud Engineers will be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) that will serve as their mentorship and coaching ground so they can transform themselves and others to be the best in their chosen field.

As a Stratpoint Cloud Engineer, you will help customers design, build, monitor and operate their cloud infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities 

• Undergo the Cloud Boot Camp and be trained to:
  • Build, monitor, and manage cloud infrastructure/workloads
  • Work on multiple cloud migration and optimization projects, including the migration of complex, multi-tier applications on different Cloud Platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Manage cloud infrastructure following our best practices, technology frameworks, and documentation standards

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related degree

Knowledge / Skills / Ability

• Knowledgeable in Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
• Good grasp of basic networking principles and debugging
• Good communication and active listening skills
• Good technical troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to undergo training

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge in one or two cloud computing platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge in one or two coding/scripting languages: Java, Bash, PHP, Python, Ruby
• Understanding of networking protocols & applications (TCP/IP, load balancing, port forwarding, firewalls, etc.)
• Knowledgeable in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with version control experience (Git, Gitlab, GitHub)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, AWS CodePipelines, TravisCI, Gitlab)
• On-premise experience can also be considered
• Familiarity with service desk/ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Salesforce, etc.)
